REVELATION: A Sneak Peek to the End Times
01-Sep-19: The Grand Celebration that Awaits Us by Dr. Narry Santos
In light of the current natural & man-made, economic, & political calamities in our times, we can ask ourselves, “What in the world will happen to the world?” In answer to this question, the Book of Revelation serves as a sneak peek to what awaits in the future. For this sermon, we will look at what God tells the Church of Ephesus to prepare for the coming end.
I. WALK WISELY IN THE PRESENT (Verse 1-3)
In this very influential world, we must stick to the path Christ has paved for us. He is our light and He is the only way. As followers, let’s walk wisely towards meeting our Saviour.
II. WATCH CAREFULLY FOR THE FUTURE (Verse 4)
The Church of Ephesus forsook their first love in God. They neglected God and lost sight of who they are. If we get too caught up with the future, we might stumble in the present. As we walk wisely today, let us also watch carefully for the future.
III. WORSHIP CONSTANTLY FOR ETERNITY (Verse 5-7)
To keep us focused with our relationship with God, we must worship Him constantly. Our praise and worship sessions here on Earth is just a practice run for what’s about to come in Heaven. Let’s give Him all the glory and honour with every chance we get.
08-Sep-19: How to Prepare for the Coming End by James D.
LOVE MATTERS, LOVE MOVES
Love needs to be sincere (Rom. 12:9-13, willing (12:14-16), & radical (12:17-21). This is the kind of love that matters & moves, & that results from offering our bodies to God (12:1), being transformed (12:2a) & understanding God’s will (12:2b). Using Rom. 12:3-8, how can we continue having this kind of love?
I. BEWARE OF OUR PRIDE (12:3)
It is good to be warned against pride (12:3; cf. 11:18, 20, 25; 12:16 [2x]). Paul uses the word, “think,” 3x in 1 verse to emphasize that what we have are not from us but from God’s grace (12:3a), mercy (12:1a; cf. 11:30-31), & kindness (11:22). Remembering this thought leads us to humility, so we can help others with God’s help to meet their needs. Humility makes us see that we need each other (cf. 1 Cor. 12:21-24) & that we are to show “equal concern for each other” (1 Cor.12:25b). Let’s love humbly!
II. BELONG AS ONE BODY (12:4-5)
It is good to know that we belong together. Paul compares the physical body, which has many parts & different functions (12:4), to the believers who are many yet form one body (12:5a). We need unity amidst diversity (cf. 1 Cor. 12:12, 14, 20). He also stresses 1 key point: “each member belongs to all the others” (Rom. 12:5b). We need to know that we belong to one another (cf. 1 Cor. 12:15-19, 27). Each member functions to serve the body. Let’s love, because we belong to one body!
III. BLESS OTHERS WITH GRACE (12:6-8)
It is good to know that gifts are out of God’s grace. Paul lists 7 spiritual gifts & tells us how to use them to bless: (1) prophecy – use it in agreement to the faith (as body of truth); (2) serving – use to help others (cf. 1 Cor. 12:28); (3) teaching – use it to explain truth clearly; (4) encouraging – use it to exhort or comfort; (5) contributing to people’s needs – use it with generosity, not skimpily; (6) leading (lit. “standing before”) – use it to administer & manage; & (7) showing mercy – use it with cheerfulness. Let’s love to bless!

22-Sep-19: A NEW HOME IS WAITING by Pastor Ferdie
Sermon Title: A NEW HOME IS WAITING
Bible Texts: Revelation 21:1-4; John 14:1-6
To continue our study on the Book of Revelation, the sermon today revolves around a place we can call our “Final Home” – Heaven! Bible scholars interpret the “new heaven and new earth” in Revelation 21 (v.1) as the “Eternal State” and the writer, John, sees the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, prepared as a bride (v.2) that includes the Universal Church. In heaven, God’s people will enjoy a very intimate communion with God Himself (v.3). “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain” in that beautiful place (v.4). But the question is: “How can a person get there?”
In order to encourage the followers of the Way (Christians) to be faithful and to remind those who have not believed the scriptural truth about heaven (non-Christians) to rethink of their position, this morning, we are going to study the:
1.___________ of Heaven (John 14:1-3, 6)
2. ___________ of Heaven (John 14:2-3; Heb. 9:24; Rev. 21:3-4)
3. ___________ in Heaven (John 14:2,4; 3:13; 1:32; Heb. 12:22)

29-Sep-19: What Will Happen After Christ’s Second Coming? by Dr. Narry Santos
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER CHRIST’S SECOND COMING?
Part of what will happen in the future is commonly called the “millennium” (the Latin term for the Greek word “chilias”), the literal 1,000-year rule of Christ on earth, after He returns at His Second Coming. What are the events that are described to happen within those 1,000 years and just after it? What do these later events imply to us now?
I. THE SERPENT IS REMOVED TEMPORARILY (20:1-3)
The terms “1,000 years” occur 6 times (20:2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) in Rev. 20:1-7. At this time, Satan (20:2) is imprisoned in the “abyss” (or bottomless pit). Called as the “dragon” (i.e., refers to cruelty & oppressive power), “ancient serpent” (i.e., refers to deceptive snake at Eden), “devil” (i.e., slanderer; liar), & “Satan” (i.e., accuser), he will not influence the world against God for 1,000 years. It implies a time of relief!
II. THE SON RULES WITH THE SAINTS TRIUMPHANTLY (20:4-5)
Jesus Christ, as Judge, will reign for 1,000 years with the martyred saints & all God’s followers. He will rule politically with universality, absoluteness, & righteousness. He will reign spiritually with peace, joy, & truth. He will rule physically with power (e.g., Isa. 11:6-9; Joel 2:21-27). The curse will be lifted; food will be plentiful; health will be evident. It implies a time of restoration!
III. THE SERPENT RETURNS & PEOPLE REVOLT TOTALLY (20:6-10)
The righteous rule of Christ does not mean that sin is totally taken out already. Thus, when Satan is released after 1,000 years (20:7), he will deceive many – the number of which is like the sand in the seashore (20:8). But God will quickly stop them. Satan will be tormented in the lake of fire or hell. It implies a time of rejoicing for us!
IV. THE REBELLIOUS RESURRECT TO BE TORMENTED TRAGICALLY (20:11-15)
The “Great White Throne” (20:11) judgment will be the time of resurrecting all the ungodly in order to judge them once & for all. This is the final judgment day (20:11a), the end of the world (20:11b), & the tragic end of all, who have no personal relationship with God (20:12-15). It implies a time of repayment!
06-Oct-19: Glimpse of Tomorrow's Glory Today by James D.
GLIMPSE OF TOMORROW’S GLORY TODAY
As we close our Sermon Series in the book of Revelation, let’s continue to be hopeful and get excited for the eventual coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. As believers, there are a lot of things to get passionate about in the future. God has prepared a place where we can worship and praise Him without any worries and problems around. You don’t want to miss out in this Heavenly Reunion!
- The Glorious Restoration
Verses 1-5 show what New Heaven and New Earth will be like. Just like the Garden of Eden, it will be like a paradise. God will reestablish everything back to its pristine glory and He wants us to be in it!
- The Great Affirmation
With all the fake news lying around, it’s hard to hold on to truth. Verses 6 to 7 gave us an assurance of the authenticity of these visions showed by the angel to John. Let’s continue to fix our eyes on the truth that God has laid before us.
- The Gracious Invitation
Have you ever been invited to a fancy, exclusive event? God has lovingly extended an invitation to be with Him eternally. Let’s not take it for granted and live a life that is pleasing to Him.
- The Grand Celebration
God will certainly reward His faithful followers and will take them to a place where there is no more hurt, no more pain and no more sin. Let’s make a decision to follow Him today until Jesus comes again!
13-Oct-19: A Glimpse of Tomorrow’s Glory Today by Dr. Narry Santos
Happy Thanksgiving! This is the time of the year when we give thanks for all the blessings that we received. Let’s have a healthy, genuine grateful heart as we give God all the praise. As we look into the story of the Ten Lepers, let’s not be like the 9 who never came back to thank Jesus. Instead, let’s be the one leper who threw himself at the feet of Jesus showing gratitude.
I. Our Rejoicing must be Louder than our Requests.
They cried out to Jesus for healing but they were silent in receiving it. We must express our gratitude to God by praising Him. Let’s continue to worship Him with all heart.
II. Our Status must be Left Out for His Sovereignty.
Once they’ve received Jesus’ power, they went back to their old life. They forgot about the miracle giver and was no longer in their priority list. Let’s always remember to give glory to God.
III. Our Faith must be Laid Out for His Fame
“Rise and go; your faith has made you well” Jesus encouraged the one leper to live by faith as he’s the only who recognized the full power of God. Not only He restored his health, He also restored His spiritual life.
